Logan Ury

Behavioral scientist turned dating coach Logan Ury is an internationally recognized expert on modern love. She is the author of the new book, How to Not Die Alone. As the Director of Relationship Science at the dating app Hinge, Logan leads a research team dedicated to helping people find love. After studying psychology at Harvard (’10), she ran Google’s behavioral science team—the Irrational Lab. She was a 2018 TED Resident and is a featured speaker at SXSW 2021. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, TIME. The Washington Post, GQ, Glamour, Vice, and on HBO and the BBC. Logan lives in the Bay Area with her husband, Scott. Rachel Greenwald

Rachel is a New York Times bestselling author who has been featured widely in the media as a relationship expert by The Today Show, CNN, The New York Times, Fortune Magazine, NPR, and hundreds more. Her dating books, including “Find a Husband After 35: Using What I Learned at Harvard Business School", are published by Random House, translated into 18 languages worldwide, and optioned by Paramount Studios for a Hollywood film. She is responsible for over 850 marriages in the past two decades in the matchmaking business. She also uses tactics honed in the love industry to help business leaders improve their professional relationships in the office, and has worked as an executive coach with organizations including Google, The Estee Lauder Company, Y-Combinator, Morgan Stanley, YPO groups, Stanford University, Harvard Business School, and more. Rachel is a frequent podcast guest on topics ranging from improving communication skills through a Zoom window (HBS “Sky Deck” episode) and understanding the business of matchmaking (“Crazy Money” episode). She is currently an Executive Fellow at HBS working with MBA students and faculty to hone their communication and relationship skills in work and life.

Sharon Birkman, Host & Moderator

Sharon Birkman, HBS OPM '07 is CEO of Birkman International, whose organization has been providing companies worldwide with employee assessment, team-building, and workplace relationship training tools for over 50 years.  Sharon's latest book "Creatures of Contact" delves into the human need for connection and debuted at the dawn of the pandemic.
